Sinking of Szent István

10 June 1918, Off Premuda island, Adriatic

Italian victory

Two Austro-Hungarian dreadnoughts were steaming south at night to join an attack on the Otranto barrage. Two small Italian motor torpedo boats on patrol found them. Luigi Rizzo's MAS-15 put two torpedoes into Szent István, which capsized about three hours later, filmed from a nearby ship. The attack on the barrage was called off.
