Rebuilt as an aircraft carrier

Rebuilt as a flush-decked aircraft carrier, with her guns and upperworks removed.

Designed as a 'large light cruiser' with two 18-inch guns, she was completed with a flight deck forward, and her aircraft raided the Zeppelin sheds at Tondern in 1918. Rebuilt as a flush-decked carrier. In the Second World War she flew aircraft to Malta and attacked Tirpitz in 1944. Scrapped in 1948.
