Italo-Turkish War

1911–1912

Italy's war to take Libya from the Ottoman Empire. The much stronger Italian fleet landed troops at Tripoli, sank Ottoman warships wherever it found them, from the coast of Epirus to Beirut and the Red Sea, and occupied the Dodecanese islands.
