First Balkan War

1912–1913

Greece, Serbia, Bulgaria and Montenegro against the Ottoman Empire. From Moudros Bay the Greek fleet, led by the new armoured cruiser Averof, kept the Ottoman fleet inside the Dardanelles and took the Aegean islands. In the Black Sea, Bulgarian torpedo boats hit the cruiser Hamidiye, which later broke out for a long raid.
