Captured aground on the Kaliusa reef

Frigate built by subscription in Philadelphia. Chasing a blockade runner off Tripoli on 31 October 1803 under William Bainbridge, she ran hard aground on the uncharted Kaliusa reef and was surrendered with her crew of over 300, who were held prisoner until the end of the war. The Tripolitans refloated her, but on 16 February 1804 Stephen Decatur's men boarded her in the harbour and burned her.
